4th of July Weekend Events & Fireworks 2019 – Mile High City Celebrates Independence Day

There is no better place to celebrate 4th of Just than in Denver, Colorado. Every year the Mile high city holds many festive events to salute 4th of July, and most of them are free. The dates of each event vary from year to year, so we have found some no cost and low-cost festivals, treats, fireworks and parades to keep your family entertained in every corner of the city. Here are few Details:

1. Stapleton Pancake Breakfast & Parade

Start independence celebrations with a pancake breakfast at 9 a.m at Stapleton. ($5/adults, $3/children or family 4-pack for $12) at the Fountain Pavilion in Central Park, followed by an old-fashioned parade beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Fountain Pavilion.

2. Civic Center Park

On 4th July eve, Civic Center Park is organizing a light show and a free concert on the County Building with an impressive fireworks finale. Bring a blanket and a picnic basket to relax in the lawn with your loved ones and experience delightful show of this performance because the fireworks in the City and County Building would be probably the best thing that you can witness on this day. The show will start at about 8 pm.

3. Denver’s Major Visual – Cherry Creek Art Festival

Also, become a part of Denver’s major visual, performing and culinary arts street event which attracts more than 350,000 visitors every year. The best chefs of Denver take part in culinary shows and presentations here. Try Artivity Avenue as well, catering children and teenagers with interactive activities. 4. Elitch Gardens

This amusement park will light up Denver skies with amazing fireworks. Show starts at about 10 p.m that is park closing time and it is free with a day ticket or season pass.

5. Highland Neighborhood

Decorating starts at 8 a.m. with the parade starting at 9:30 a.m. down 32nd Ave. to Tejon, ending at Hershorn Park about 10 a.m. For the Grand Finale, Little Man Ice Cream will create a 200-foot-long sundae at 11:30 a.m. Kids can bring their non-motorized decorated bike and meet at 32nd Ave. & Clay St. FREE hot dogs for all.

6. Park Hill Parade

The northeast Denver tradition starts at 1:30 p.m. and runs on 23rd Ave. from Dexter St. to Krameria St. The parade will showcase floats, bicycles, costumed characters, classic cars, a marching band and many more. It will end at approximately 3 p.m. at the Kearney Street Fair on the 2200 block of Kearney with food, live music, kids’ activities and more.

7. Four Mile Historic Park

If you want to go back to home on time, then try to visit the Four Mile Historic Park before leaving. It hosts old-time games and historic demonstrations which you can enjoy with your family. To enjoy the Glendale fireworks show after dark, bring a blanket and grab some barbecue from the food trucks to enjoy.
